Clinical social worker, smiling

Cassidy Palacios, MSW, LCSW

Hello, I'm Cass! Thank you so much for stopping by Starfish Wellness, PLLC.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker in Illinois, and I have been working with people with complex medical and mental health concerns for nearly a decade. I love helping others work toward their mental health and wellness goals.

I take a holistic approach when providing therapy to my clients. I use a variety of theories, evidenced-based practices, and therapeutic techniques to provide you with personalized, high-quality service tailored just for you.

I know that choosing the right therapist isn’t always easy. It can be hard to allow someone else to come into your life when you are facing challenges and feeling vulnerable. My goal is to make your decision as simple and stress-free as possible—take a look at my areas of interest to determine if you think we would be a good fit. Then, head to the FAQ page to have all your questions answered. When you're ready to book a session, simply click on the "Schedule a Session" button to schedule through the client portal. Just like that!

I'm looking forward to talking with you soon. In the meantime, take care.

About: Areas of Interest

Once, on ancient Earth, there was a human boy walking along a beach.

There had just been a storm, and starfish had been scattered along the sands.

The boy knew the fish would die, so he began to fling the fish to the sea.

But every time he threw a starfish, another would wash ashore.

An old Earth man happened along and saw what the child was doing.

He called out, "Boy, what are you doing?"

"Saving the starfish!" replied the boy.

"But your attempts are useless, child! Every time you save one, another one returns, often the same one! You can't save them all, so why bother trying? Why does it matter, anyway?" called the old man.

The boy thought about this for a while, a starfish in his hand...

He answered, "Well, it matters to this one."

Then he flung the starfish into the welcoming sea.
